Community Intel guidelines

The four rules

1. What was asked, not who asked it. Post the question, the format, the timing, the outcome. Never the name, title, description or contact details of an interviewer, recruiter, analyst or any other person. A post that identifies a person is removed, and a handle that keeps doing it is banned.
2. Say where you heard it. Yourself, a friend, an analyst, a recruiter, or elsewhere. A rumor with a source is worth something; a rumor without one is noise, and the board sorts by what people found useful.
3. Disagree with reasons, never for sport. If you think a post is wrong, say why and what you heard instead. No politics, no religion, no attacks on anyone for who they are. Trolling, piling on and arguing for its own sake are removed.
4. Delete means gone. When you delete a post, its replies and every vote on them are deleted with it. There is no archive, no undo, and no copy in an admin screen.

Do not post

• Anything that identifies a person: names, roles specific enough to identify one person, photos, emails, LinkedIn links.
• Material you were told in confidence or agreed not to share, including case materials, models, or documents a firm gave you under a confidentiality agreement.
• Statements of fact about a person or firm that you know to be false, or that you present as fact when they are a guess.
• Racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, antisemitism, Islamophobia, or any slur or attack on someone for their race, sex, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, disability or background.
• Harassment or threats of any kind.
• Politics or religion. This is a recruiting board. There are plenty of places for the rest.
• Material non-public information about a public company, or anything that would put a reader in breach of securities law.
• Spam, advertising, referral links, or the same post repeated across the board.
• Attempts to work out or reveal who is behind a handle.

Keep it useful, keep it positive

The board works when the next person can act on what you wrote. Disagree with a post? Say why, with what you heard. Correct it, add to it, or vote it down. Piling on, mocking a poster, or arguing for the sake of it adds nothing and gets removed. If a post is not worth a reply, leave it to the thumbs.

Your handle

Your posts are filed under your handle. The link between a handle and an account is never stored, and nothing in SuperdayReps, not the database, not an admin screen, shows who is behind one.

• A handle cannot be your name, part of your email, or a reserved word. The board suggests one; you can type your own.
• You can change your handle from the board at any time. Every past post and every vote it earned moves with it.
• One handle per account. A banned handle cannot be renamed or replaced.

None of it is verified

Information here about banks, deadlines, events and the recruiting process is gathered from public sources and from students. None of it is verified fact, and it can be out of date. Confirm anything you plan to act on with the firm itself.

A timing post is marked Confirmed automatically when a posting for that firm appears in our jobs sweep on or after the date it names. That is the only automatic judgement on the board, and it means the posting appeared, not that anything else in the post is right.

Reports, removal and bans

• Every post and reply has a Report link. Reports reach us directly and we read all of them.
• We remove posts that break these rules, and posts we receive a credible complaint about, without notice.
• We may ban a handle. A banned handle keeps its past posts unless we remove them, and can no longer post, reply, vote or rename.
• We do not edit posts. A post is either up as written or gone.
